tip of the hat...

Number 2. Finally! Great news – my wife has passed her driving test. I am now a free man. Or am I? You see, I no longer have to drive her around – but I’ll probably no longer have the car. Although my wife works next door, I’m sure she’ll begin to drive to work. We’ll have to wait and see. Mind you, I don’t think I’ll have to go shopping now – nice! But does not being sole driver anymore take away a part of my masculinity? In this age of equal opportunities and female pride it seems that there is less and less that makes a man a man. Being able to drive was a man thing. Now anyone can do it. Oh well.

I guess my free man theory is a bit ropey.

Let the games begin..

There is always a shed load of stuff I want to say - but no one ever listens to me. Now this is strange as I have a wife, good friends, and talk to groups of people for a living (I am a Church Pastor). Yet many things I read, think or get excited about seem just plain dumb to everybody else. So this blog is my place to talk about all the stuff I need to get off my chest. And I don't mean angry teenage stuff, or speaking behind peoples back's. No, I mean the amazing things in life like how come vanilla flavour in coffee is great at church but not so great at home? What should the Christian think about the Welsh language? Do I need to loose 3 stone in order to qulaify for an IPod? Should you celebrate Santes Dwynwen (the welsh lovers day) and St Valentine (the Hallmark rip off)? Is it right to think that Bon Jovi 'Runaway' is one of the best songs ever recorded? Does every one like to make music collections of every version of 'over the rainbow' they can find? What's the difference between not imposing Jesus on anyone, and proposing Jesus to everyone?
